Limited edition hand crafted hoodie with "Rastah" embroidered on the front in Arabic script. Sleeve and back patches are printed on hand made fabric.

The whole design is printed on a hand loomed sheet of Khaddar fabric. Khadi or khaddar is handspun, hand-woven natural fiber cloth from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh mainly made out of cotton. A single loom can only make 5-7 metres of fabric in one day and requires great skill and effort.

This piece is a collaboration between local artists Mirza Bashir Ahmad and Asad Umar. The centre piece is a mixed media piece by Mirza Bashir Ahmad, inspired by the miniature Mughal artwork from the early 1500’s. The borders are inspired by the Wazir Khan and Badshai Mosques' architectural patterns.

The Wazir Khan Mosque is a 17th century mosque located in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. The mosque was commissioned during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as part of an ensemble of buildings. However, the Badshahi Mosque is a Mughal era masjid in Lahore, capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab, Pakistan. The mosque is located west of Lahore Fort along the outskirts of the Walled City of Lahore, and is widely considered to be one of Lahore's most iconic landmarks. Both of these architectural masterpieces were the fundamental inspirations that preluded the construction of this piece.
